A pass never renews by itself. Nano has no pull payments: nobody can take money from your wallet, so a pass can't charge you again. Renew when you want; the days add on.
White: King g1, Queen d4, Rook e1, pawns f2 g2 h2. Black: King g8, Queen a5, Rook e8, pawns f7 g7 h7.
Black's rook has just come to e8 and attacks your rook. Most people defend it. Don't. White to play: find the move that ends the game.
