Nano Unlock · a free WordPress plugin Alpha. Works end to end and has tests, but it is new and can change.Use at your own risk, for education. Real Nano moves: keep amounts small. What the stages mean
Sell part of a post for 1¢.
Keep every cent.
Lock a recipe, a chapter or a photo. Readers pay a few cents in Nano straight to your own wallet, and the part appears about two seconds later. Your site checks each payment itself: no account, no card, no middleman, no fee.
- GPLv2 or later
- WordPress 6.3+
- PHP 7.4+
- Block and shortcode
- No custody
One block. One price.
Nano sends value between two accounts in under a second, with no fee. This first part is free.
The paid part: every Nano account has its own chain of blocks, so a 5¢ sale pays the writer the full 5¢.

The details
I am a…
It is your money, and your page
- Paid straight to youReaders pay your address. No cut, no account with us, no key in the plugin.
- Works with page cachingThe post's page sets DONOTCACHEPAGE. Lists, search and feeds show a link, so they stay cached.
- Never hidden with CSSThe paid part is drawn on the server, only after payment, and stored apart from the post.
A CDN that caches every page
It ignores those signals: exclude the posts with a paid part, or bypass the cache for requests with the nano_unlock_receipts cookie.
What it does on your server, and what it sends
- GPLv2 or laterThe plugin, and its QR code library (MIT, credited in the readme).
- No keys, no fundsIt stores a public Nano address, never a seed. It cannot send money.

No reader data leaves your site: no IP, no cookie.
External services: the exact calls
| Service | When | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
| A Nano node node.nano133.com by default; the owner can set any node, and a second one | When a reader waits for an unlock | Node calls with the owner's public address (receivable, account_history) and a block hash (block_info). The user agent names the plugin and the site's home URL. No reader data: no IP, no cookie. |
| Price feeds CoinGecko, Kraken, KuCoin | At most every five minutes, to turn the price in dollars into Nano | A plain public price request, with the plugin's own user agent and no site address. Nothing about the site or its readers. |
Our node is run by nano133. Read our terms and our privacy page. The node sees the calling server's IP address, as any web service does.
Checked on the chain, not on our word
- Your site verifies itEach checkout asks a unique amount. The site finds that exact confirmed send, on a node it chooses.
- A second node, if you wantBoth must agree before anything unlocks. No single node can fake a payment.
- A 1¢ sale pays 1¢No network fee, no cut. The writer gets all of it, in about a second.
- One payment, one unlockAccess stays in that browser with a signed cookie: no account, no email.
How the price in Nano is set
It is the median of the price feeds that answer, so one bad feed can't move it. If every feed fails, the last good rate holds for up to a day, then checkouts pause.

Try the reader's side now
Our Unlock page runs the same checkout, for a real cent.
“Try WordPress in your browser” opens WordPress Playground, a site of the WordPress project that we do not run. The demo there is a working shop: its Unlock button takes a real payment of about 1 cent in Nano, and you can look at it without a payment. If the Playground shows an error, try it again later, or read about the plugin on GitHub.
